Introduction of Values
Character education is a learning process that enables students and adults in a school community to understand, care about and act on core ethical values such as respect, justice, civic virtue and citizenship, and responsibility for self and others.

Respect
Respect means treating other people the way you want to be treated.
Citizenship
Good citizenship means taking responsibility for what goes on around you and committing to make your school, your community, and your world a better place.
Gratitude/Thankfulness
Gratitude is the appreciation of all that we receive from others and the desire to pass that on to others.
Service/GivingService and giving involves actively reflecting and seeking to make a positive change in our society by helping individuals and/or organizations.

Responsibility |
Being responsible means being reliable and dependable and being accountable for your actions.
Caring
Caring means treating people with kindness and generosity by helping others and being sensitive to their feelings.
Fairness
Fairness is treating people the way you want to be treated including taking turns, telling the truth, playing by the rules and listening to others with an open mind.
Trustworthiness
Being trustworthy means being honest, reliable, and having the courage to do what is right even when it seems difficult.
Review of the Values
All of the values need to be reinforced and practiced throughout daily life.
